About Miss Sykes 

Welcome to my website! 

     Hello, my name is Hannah Rae Sykes and I am a junior majoring in Elementary Education at Auburn University. I have a passion for learning, loving, teaching and helping. I am from Phenix City, Alabama and a proud alum of Central High School. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, baking, decorating for holidays and binge watching different series on Netflix. I have an amazing family who pushes me to chase my dreams and break through the limits that others may set for me. 

     I have always had a desire to learn more than what was expected of me and my dream is to teach others to do the same. As a child, I always looked up to my mother as my role model and I want to carry on her legacy of being an Auburn University graduate in the field of Elementary Education. I have always known that I would be a teacher, but it was not until I took a step deeper into the field that I realized my eagerness to love and teach others for the rest of my life.

     My experiences in education with children include teaching in after school programs, helping with summer camps, assisting cheerleading camps, teaching bible school and babysitting. I believe that teaching is a calling and throughout my time at Auburn University, I have learned that I am ready for whatever the education world may throw my way in the future.
